International Journal of Life, Environment and Engineering Sciences (IJLEES)


The International Journal of Life, Environment and Engineering Sciences (IJLEES) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and academic excellence in scholarly publishing. The following editorial policies guide the submission, review, and publication of manuscripts in the journal.

1. Peer Review Policy
  •    All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness and objectivity.
  •    Manuscripts are initially screened by the Editorial Office for scope, originality, and compliance with author guidelines.
  •    Suitable manuscripts are assigned to expert reviewers. At least two independent reviewers are consulted for each article.
  •    The final decision (accept, revise, or reject) rests with the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.

2. Open Access and Licensing
  •    IJLEES follows an open access policy, making all published content freely available to readers worldwide without subscription barriers.
  •    Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal a license to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), unless otherwise stated.

3. Ethical Standards

 The journal adheres to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow ethical guidelines:
  •    Plagiarism: Submissions must be original and free from plagiarism. All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software.
  •    Authorship: Only those who made significant contributions should be listed as authors. Changes in authorship after submission require written consent from all authors.
  •    Conflicts of Interest: Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  •    Research Integrity: Studies involving humans, animals, or sensitive data must comply with ethical standards and include relevant approval (e.g., Institutional Review Board clearance).

4. Types of Articles

 The journal accepts the following contributions:
  •    Original Research Articles: novel scientific findings.
  •    Review Articles: comprehensive evaluations of existing research.
  •    Short Communications: brief but significant findings.
  •    Case Studies/Technical Notes: practical or applied contributions.
  •    Perspectives/Commentaries: critical insights and opinions on emerging topics.

5. Editorial Independence

  •    Editorial decisions are made solely based on academic merit, relevance, and originality of the submission.
  •    The editorial board operates independently, free from commercial or institutional influence.

6. Data Sharing and Transparency

  •    Authors are encouraged to make data, code, and supplementary material openly available wherever possible.
  •    Proper citation of datasets and third-party resources is mandatory.

7. Copyright and Permissions

  •    Authors retain copyright of their work.
  •    It is the responsibility of the authors to secure permissions for reproduction of figures, tables, or material from previously published sources.

8. Retractions, Corrections, and Errata

  •    If errors are identified post-publication, the journal will publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in accordance with COPE guidelines.
  •    Misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, plagiarism) will result in withdrawal or retraction of the article.

9. Archiving and Indexing

  •    IJLEES ensures the long-term preservation of published content through digital archiving.
  •    The journal actively seeks indexing in major databases (Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, Google Scholar, etc.) to enhance visibility and impact.

10. Appeals and Complaints

  •    Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a reasoned justification to the Editor-in-Chief.
  •    Complaints regarding editorial conduct or ethical issues will be handled transparently according to COPE recommendations.
